The Friese Woudenpad

Our tent pitches are just a few steps away from the Friese Woudenpad (LAW 1-1).

The Friese Woudenpad is a long-distance walking trail of around 150 kilometres, winding from Lauwersoog on the Wadden Sea to Steenwijk in Overijssel.

Along the way, you’ll discover the varied landscape of the Frisian Woodlands: from small-scale fields lined with alder trees and hedgerows to wide heathlands, stream valleys and atmospheric villages.

Buitenplaats Ureterp lies directly on this route, making it an ideal stopover for hikers.
Whether you’re hiking a single stage or on a multi-day trek, this is a place to rest, pitch your tent and recharge.
